EMAQ+ is an integrated package of training and written technical guidance for Local Authority professionals responsible for Emission Monitoring, Air Quality and Contaminated Land.
The package provides a simple, clear, good practice guide for the cost effective and compliant management of air emission monitoring schemes;
practical advice on the collection, management and dissemination
of data for local air quality strategies and technical information for those dealing with the complexities of the contaminated land regime.
The package is run on an annual subscription basis managed and developed by AEA Energy & Environment in partnership with the Chartered
Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). A Steering Group, made up of policy makers and technical experts from central and local government and industry,
provide the strategic direction of the package. This ensures the consistency and accuracy of the guidance and provides a
forum in which practical issues faced by the practitioners implementing the legislation can be fed back to the policy makers.
A rolling programme of seminars aims to cover current topics of importance in each of the three subject areas as well as introductory level seminars
suitable for new entrants or those wanting a refresher. Complementing these, an ever-expanding library of technical reference materials is
available to subscribers in the password protected members' area, as well as presentation material from some past seminars.
